Show at Gitters Pub in High River

Last Night we played at Gitters Pub in High River.  It was our third time back, and we were warmly welcomed by the establishment as always.  What made this show different was the reponse we got from the crowd.  The solo openers set (Mike Buckley and Mike Copley) was performed to a sparsely occupied room and we weren't sure how it would go.  Fortunately, we sold four CDs before we even struck the first chord, so that was encouraging.  By the time the full band got on stage the room had finally picked up - and earneslty so.  Most of the folks who were in the bar had seen us before and made a point of coming out when they saw the posters.   We had people hooting and hollering all night.  By the time we left the venue we had already booked our next performance date.  We'll be back at Gitters on September 9th.

Thanks so much to the fine folks who brought the energy out and made the show that much more fun to play!

Best fan quote of the night: "You never see bass players who are that into it!"

I'd love to write more, but we're rushing off to Edmonton so we can busk before opening for Ghost Cousin tonight at Wunderbar.
